my favorite Sketchbook brushes by ArtofJefferyHebert
my favorite Sketchbook brushes
Thought I'd put together the brushes I like to use the most. Nothing special and no real tweaking needed. Sketchbook brushes are great at default settings!

WELCOME TO THE CLOUDS! by ArtofJefferyHebert
WELCOME TO THE CLOUDS!
So earlier I told you all is was a gloomy day. Sooooooo I painted a sunny sky, sunlit clouds and a rainbow... Sort of lol. This was started yesterday, for an hour. Then I worked on and off today to finish it up.
WELCOME TO THE CLOUDS! This was done in Sketchbook for Android on my Wacom Cintiq Companion Hybrid. Then using the hybrids abilities, I used photoshop for final color adjustments. I hope this brightens your day! #autodesksketchbook #Wacom #painting #digital #art #rainbow

Guam kingfisher by ArtofJefferyHebert
Guam kingfisher
Here's another from my Endangered species series. This time the Guam Kingfisher. There are currently only 100 breeding pairs left in the world zoos. They are extinct in their native region of Guam. The introduction of the Brown snake to control rat populations sealed their fate. There are current efforts to reintroduce them to select areas of their native habitat.
This one I wanted to add a splash of color. Done in Sketchbook for Android on my Wacom Cintiq Companion Hybrid. #Sketchbook #Wacom #painting #digital #art #wildlife #worldwildlifefund #endangered

Lioness Decline Steps by ArtofJefferyHebert
Lioness Decline Steps
These are the steps I saved along the way while I did my latest Lioness Decline. Each step was about a half hour to hour of painting and tinkering. I hope you all learn a bit from this, if you want more info I can do a proper write up. Enjoy!

Ok everyone! I want to see your latest! But I also want to hear what you like/dislike about it and what you feel could be better....I'll start.Lioness Decline by ArtofJefferyHebert

Here's mine. It's the start of a series on endangered species. I'm very happy with how the painting came out and The lion I feel is the strongest one I've painted yet. I wish I worked the bottom a bit more but in the end it worked.

Ok now you!
I just wanted to let everyone know I just did an interview with Paperbag-Ninja about mobile art. Thought you all might want to take a look. He asks some great questions :-)

Thank you for the tutorial on auto desk sketchbook! Your art really is beautiful and I'm super glad you could share your talent with the world in depth but... if you were a beginner like me what would you do?

Remember we were all beginners at one time! When I was starting out I would gather all the art fundamental books I could find and copy the drawings I saw and do the exercises. Any of the books from Andrew Loomis will help you along. Even if you are going for an anime style, knowing the fundamentals so super important. www.amazon.com/Andrew-Loomis/e…
Also keep drawing! No matter how discouraged you may get (and there are days, months years that you might be) never stop. even if it's just doodling. Keep the spark alive. That's one of my biggest regrets in life. After high school I all but stopped drawing/painting. If only I kept at it, theres no telling where I'd be. Hope this helps :-) and thanks for the kind words!

Your words of wisdom are what keep my doing what I do. "Don't rush and put your stuff out there when your happy with it" I really appreciate that. Thank you very much!

I'm glad I could share a bit I've learned over the past 10 years or so. I find people are just to eager to share art on social media these days. I like to wait and only share the stuff that's worthy of attention.
